Health Professions Educators

The Health Professions Educators (HPE) program is a cornerstone initiative by HENAR to systemically impact Armenia’s medical education landscape. Focused on building a workforce of skilled educators and academic leaders, the program aims to equip participants with advanced competencies in teaching, curriculum design, assessment, and leadership. Through partnerships with Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and alignment with national reforms, HPE fosters production of healthcare professionals who deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. As an anchor project, it aims to set the foundation for a sustainable and innovative medical education system.

Pediatric Residency Program
of Armenia

The Pediatric Residency Program of Armenia marks a transformative shift in Post-Graduate Medical Education, introducing the country’s resident-centered training model. Developed with key national institutions and expertise from the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, the program aligns global standards with local needs, offering world-class training and innovative leadership, paving the way for its integration into Armenia’s medical education system.

Family Medicine Fellowship for Health for Armenia

In collaboration with Health for Armenia Foundation (HFA), HENAR delivers the medical education component of HFA's Healthcare Leadership Program. The program is developed in partnership with Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, emphasizing evidence-based medicine and understanding social determinants of health to equip healthcare professionals with comprehensive competencies to effectively serve rural communities.

The Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Fellowship Program, delivered in 2022-2023, is a 10-month hybrid training initiative aimed at enhancing the capacities of Armenia's and Artsakh's healthcare workforce in critical rehabilitation areas, including neurorehabilitation, burn care, orthopedics, and mental health. The program exemplifies the power of partnerships, uniting leading organizations to foster systemic transformation in rehabilitation services.
