Application and Implementation in Medicine (AIM) Workshop 2024
The AIM workshop hosted discussions and presentations on evidence-based medicine, social medicine, health program design, and community medicine, with the goal of educating participants on social, structural, and non-biomedical determinants of health. The workshop provided a forum for the development of professional relationships between participants from Armenia and foreign experts.

Healthcare Summit 2024
Representatives from Armenian Diaspora organizations and healthcare professionals convened at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for the Armenia-Diaspora Healthcare Summit 2024: Aligning for Sustainable Impact. The Armenian Medical International Committee (AMIC), the HENAR Foundation, and UCLA Operation Armenia organized the day-long summit.
The summit’s featured insightful presentations, panel discussions, and facilitated group discussions, focusing on innovative solutions to address key challenges and charting a purposeful path forward for health and wellness in Armenia.

Primary Care Conference at 6th International Medical Congress of Armenia
On July 6th 2023 HENAR Foundation hold a Primary Healthcare satellite symposium within the framework of the 6th International Medical Congress of Armenia (IMCA).
During the symposium the speakers talked about the work aimed at reforming the primary health care system, the importance of mental health in Primary healthcare settings, doctor-patient proper communication and the engagement of patients in the treatment processes.

Partnerships and Network Building
HENAR undertakes initiatives focused on partnerships and network building, recognizing that collaborative efforts are essential for achieving efficiencies and scaling impact across the healthcare system.
HENAR and UMass Chan cooperate to engage in joint educational programs, healthcare literacy, advocacy, and research projects, encouraging direct contacts and cooperation between their faculty members, students, departments, institutes, and academic planning staff.
- Exchange of faculty members for short- and long-term visits for the purpose of teaching, presentation of seminars, and providing workshops and training

- Establishing collaborative research projects
The Global Health Discovery Experience provides UCLA medical students with the opportunity to spend extended periods of at least 4 months at a Participating Site to complete a project in global health. The project may be related to research, policy and advocacy, and/or public health programming. The Discovery Experience aims to build tangible skills from core global health competencies, with the ultimate goal of contributing to global or community partner initiatives.
